About These Items This tailgate lift assist system is designed to make handling heavy ramps on open utility trailers easier. Using large-diameter springs and 1.47 m extension cables, the tailgate is raised or lowered in a controlled manner in a single motion, avoiding unnecessary effort. Compatible with ramps between 1.22 and 1.83 m (4 to 6 ft) and side rails between 25.4 and 61 cm (10 to 24 in), it easily fits most trailers on the market. It is made of powder-coated carbon steel, highly resistant to wear, corrosion, and tearing from prolonged use. Installation is simple and can be done without professional assistance. Each kit includes all the necessary components for a complete and secure installation, from bolts to S-hooks and spring pins. Key Differences The 5806 is designed for single-sided installation, ideal for those seeking a lightweight and effective solution for raising tailgates up to 82 kg (180 lb). It weighs 6.63 kg, making it easy to handle and install. The 5807, on the other hand, is designed for double-sided installation, doubling the load capacity to 160 kg (360 lb), ideal for larger ramps or users who require more assistance when lifting.
