About These Items Designed to provide firm and reliable support for outboard motors up to 100 HP, this transom guard effectively reduces the stress placed on the boat's structure during trailering. Its Q235B steel construction with a heavy-duty ADC-12 alloy header and galvanized coating makes it highly resistant to corrosion and wear. Its adjustable length of 23 to 35 inches (584 to 889 mm) allows it to adapt to various trailer configurations. Installation is simple and can be done with or without drilling, depending on the trailer rail design. This model offers a slightly longer length, adjustable from 24 to 36 inches (609 to 914 mm), making it ideal for trailers with greater engine-to-chassis . It shares the same reinforced materials, rust resistance, and robust design as its XC2031 counterpart, but with a higher net weight (2.3 kg) for greater stability. Compatible with engines up to 100 HP, it is easily installed by one person and is optimized for use out of the water. It is recommended to remove it after each use to extend its lifespan. Key Differences The XC2031 model is more compact and lighter, ideal for standard configurations with an adjustable length of 23 to 35 inches. The XC2029 model, meanwhile, offers greater reach and a wider design, improving compatibility with larger trailers or engines with greater overhang. It is also 500 g heavier, increasing its robustness. Both feature the same Q235B steel construction and ADC-12 alloy head, plus galvanized coating for excellent corrosion resistance.
